Concrete: the light charm of a rigorous material

inMateria’s experience in extremely high-performing materials and the study of the finest raw materials has yielded the Concrete Programme, our solution for creating unique pure concrete items stemming from the designer’s vision and made with a system combining artisan methods and advanced industrialised processes relying on human intelligence and research.

The Concrete Programme draws inspiration from our long-standing experience in the construction sector and from our in-depth knowledge of concrete, an ancient material that has always been used in building sites. The end product conveys a sense of living, breathing matter that becomes ever more precious.

The inConcrete collection is available in two different finishes: Pure and Coated. The Pure finish is the perfect embodiment of simplicity combined with a bold character: in this solution, the product is not coated and retains all the peculiar imperfections of concrete. Coated is the process where the strength, resistance and beauty of concrete merge with a sophisticated and uniform finish that is also exceptionally compact.

The inColor collection is developed with the Glazed method, a peculiar finish capable of making concrete – an innately imperfect material – naturally perfect. The end result is a finely refined item. The lacquered effect adds a new, appealing and unprecedented appearance to concrete.

Depending on the applications, the Concrete Programme is developed according to two different formulas: Formula Prima and Formula Leonardo. In Formula Prima, the composition is purer and less worked to enhance the natural and textured quality of concrete, resulting in a final product boasting excellent structure and performance. Formula Leonardo is a glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC) that we enrich with specially developed elements to offer exceptional performances in terms of lightness, flexural strength properties and compressive strength.
Each individual item is made to the customer’s drawing using entirely artisan processes, from the moment the product is cast into the mould with the Cast technique to the finish, perfected manually by our operators. The end result is an infinite range of creations that include lamps, bases, bathtubs, sinks and outdoor furniture boasting excellent technical properties and refined aesthetic qualities.
